Circle are an Australian rock band who formed in Enmore, NSW in 2005. The band currently consists of Radi Safi and Dan Shaw. Other recent contributors include Rebecca Shave (keys, vox, percussion) Richard Bessell (guitar) and Josh Bush (drums).
Circle’s music has been described as alternative, indie rock, indie pop, synth-pop and on occasion electronic given the experimental nature of the band’s production and overall approach to serving a song as opposed to having a specific ‘sound’.
The band has released three albums and one EP as Circle. The track Fashion me a Drum from their debut studio album The Middle has been featured on several TV shows both locally and in the USA. The video for Fashion me a Drum reached over 100,000 views not long after being pubished thanks to a placement with fashion retailer ASOS.
Their track All The People was used as part of a Fender Music Foundation music awareness campaign and was also well received after it’s YouTube launch.
Prior to the name Circle, Safi released one EP and one album under the name Opanoni & The Raindrops.
