Since revealing his adaptation of, Pat Benatar‘s, ‘Love Is A Battlefield‘ with Sydney vocalist, AViVA, Pikchunes has gone one up with the release of his forthcoming records debut single, You Are.
You Are conceptually follows the story of a young boy with a heavy heart, encountering the nerves that we find nestled in the pit of our stomach, to the controlled quiver of talking through our teeth once met with intimidation.
Facilitating a series of mood shifts, experience a sombre verse creeping up on the recurrence of a cinematic wall of sound to keep you on the absolute edge of your seat. A story that definitely unfolds with time, this synth laden haven is a classic Pikachunes gem.
You Are can be listened to first on Purple Sneakers, as the taste-making collective have premiered the track on their website. Describing it as, “dramatic and over the top in the best way possible“, it’s a lovely read on the piece of craft that Pikachunes has worked so hard to release.
