Melbourne man, Pikachunes has pushed out the first single of his forthcoming record, Allely.
Titled, You Are, the track conceptually follows the story of a young boy with a heavy heart, encountering the nerves that we find nestled in the pit of our stomach, to the controlled quiver of talking through our teeth once met with intimidation. Facilitating a series of mood shifts, experience a sombre verse creeping up on the recurrence of a cinematic wall of sound to keep you on the absolute edge of your seat. A story that definitely unfolds with time, this synth laden haven is a classic Pikachunes gem.
Pikachunes will launch, You Are live at the Evelyn Hotel in Fitzroy on Thursday, 21st January.
Already stoked for the show, expect to be further spoilt by fantastic performances from Melbourne locals Lanks and Zone Out, as they’ll be supporting the clever synth-pop trickster.
