With all these gigs coming up it got us thinking about all the crap that venues and bookers do wrong. Not so that we could sit here bagging them out (as easy as that is to do…) but so that we could offer things that no one’s been able to do properly for bands. In light of that, we’ve just added a worksheet and poster widget at the bottom of the site. Here as a band or performer you can download your worksheet and share your poster on social networks. We’re still ironing out the kinks but it’s good enough to launch.

New Monday Records site (which was in beta mode for about 3 weeks), is up and running. More info, more pics and more music. Mainly for the info… Artists, releases and calendar on your left, shows, pics, vids and tweets on your right plus a home image and new music player… Updates will continue to roll in as we update feature pics and so on but its pretty rock solid now. Hope you like it.
We’re slowly but surely making our way through the Happy worksheets. All September bands should now have theirs except that there have been a few updates to the poets and writers sections. This doesn’t effect the bands in any way. Also please note that Harry Ward will be joining us on the 12th for a short 20-30 minute acoustic set after Circle. Very cool! Brent Clough will be joining us the 19th and 26th of September while Onur Karaozbek will be reading on the 26th.
Home stretch with Onur Karaozbek, Brendan Maclean, Monii and Casey. Only three more Happy’s to go! :(
We’re all pretty stoked that the Happy gigs are finally going ahead. Monday Records have negotiated three Thursdays with the Hive Bar in Erskineville and every Sunday until God knows when at the Sly Fox from the 5th of September. More info, glitx and glamor very soon!
The Circle acoustic gigs went down a treat with a great turn out at the Hive Bar on Thursday night. Thanks to the Hive, Bryan Estepa and Russell crawford who played on the night and to all that came along. There were quite a few surprises from the land of covers which was a treat for all. Here are a few pics of Circle from the night. Monday Records are now planning a sophomore performance at the Hive as well as a Sunday afternoon residency in the inner west. Details to follow very soon.
